Blake followed Jenna slowly, trailing through through the students, chattering and gossiping about the latest fashions and info on who's dating who. She stared at the floor and watched the feet passing by. She could feel her phone vibrating again and again, choosing to ignore the many texts from Sam. Blake just couldn't deal with missing him right now. Jenna's rambling about certain stores and restarants faded into the distance and Blake nodded every now and then, when it was appropritate. She came back as she felt shoulder knock into her, and she looked up to find Thomas walking beside her, watching her carefully.
"Did you know, I've been walking with you for about 2 minutes now?" Blake flushed and stammered. Thomas laughed and watched her every move. "Haha, oblivious much?" Blake blushed and looked down.
"Yeah, I guess. I'm just really preoccupied. This day went by so fast. All the new stuff." Thomas shook his head and looked around them. Blake glanced around and noticed that Jenna was no where to be found. "Oh...I guess we lost her." Blake giggled and blushed again.
"Haha, that's okay. She's probably out front, like usual." Thomas grabbed her hand and pulled her through the large crowd of kids standing right in front of the door. Blake looked at Thomas and frowned when she noticed his smile fading slowly. Blake turned and watched as Jenna gasped and ran toward a guy leaning against a large black truck. "Gawd, I hate that guy!"
Blake turned back to Thomas and looked at him, puzzled. "Uhh what's the matter with him." His short black hair was spiked and he wore skinny jeans with a Bring Me The Horizon t-shirt. Good taste, she thought to herself. "He looks cool...is he?" Thomas scowled and clenched his hands into fists.
"His names Skyler...he's Jenna's ex. Treated her like major shit. I hate him. She was torn up when he broke up with her. He...cheated on her...she still loves him though. I hate that he did that to my best friend." Blake nodded and sighed. "Come on. I want to make sure she doesn't go anywhere with him." Thomas grabbed Blake's wrist and pulled her down the stairs quickly. Blake could hear Jenna squealing and talking quickly.
"Hey Jenna!" Jenna turned and gasped.
"OHMUHGAWD! I forgot to find you! I'm sooo sorry!" She hugged Blake lightly and turned back to Skyler. "Blake, this is Skyler. An old friend." Blake could she Thomas grimace from the corner of her eye. "So, Skyler...when is Cooper gonna come see me?! All he does is work at the faternity now!" Skyler shrugged and his brown eyes shined as they fell apon Blake. Blake blushed and looked down, trying to ignore the fact that his glare was straight on her.
"I guess I'll ask him for you, Jen." She could hear him tell Jenna, his voice barely above a whisper. Blake blushed deeper and breathed deeply for a second.
"Good. I miss Cooper. Tons!" Jenna turned around and started talking to Skyler's friends. Blake could see Skyler turn and wrap his arms around Jenna's shoulders, his gaze still fixed on Blake.

Chapter 4
"Ohmuhgawd! You seriously lived in Chicago?!" Tanya yelled the second the words left Blake's mouth. "I hear it is so AWESOME there! The people! The places! The pizza!" Blake smiled and looked down.
"Yeah...it's home sweet home to me. I really miss it there. Especially my best friend, Sam." Tanya looked up quickly and glared at Jenna. Jenna blushed and looked at the ground and pretended to not see Tanya's death glare. Blake glanced around puzzled, noticing Thomas' funny looks. He smiled slightly and whispered in her ear.
"It's okay. They do this all the time. I don't know half the stuff they talk about most of the time." Thomas snickered and Blake giggled softly. The girls looked up and ignored the looks wondering about the secret conversation that had just happened. Tanya smirked at Thomas and pushed him out of her way, moving farther ahead of the lunch line. Blake frowned and tryed to ignore the butterflies in her stomach pushing to come out of her mouth. Jenna glared at the empty place where Tanya used to stand and then turned to watch Blake and Thomas.
"Uhh...I'm sorry if Tanya doesn't like me...I don't have to hang out with you guys if you don't want me to..." Blake trailed off as Jenna's eyes widened quickly.
"No no no...it's not that. Tanya just...who knows? She just has a sort of...temper. She kinda goes off whenever." Thomas nodded as Jenna kept talking. "But whatever. Who care's what she thinks, anyways?" Blake shook her head slowly. Pretending to understand. Suddenly knowing what it felt like to be an outsider. "But anyways...lets get some food. I'm starving!" Jenna yelled and bounced to the front of the line. Blake looked down and opened her phone to text Sam real quick.

Blake slammed her phone shut and jogged to catch up with Jenna and Thomas. Hating to be alone for even a second.

Chapter 3
Blake entered the High School and glanced around at all the new faces. It was so different here. Everyone knew each other here. And she knew no one. At least she had Jenna and Tanya and Thomas now...some people she could hang out with. Blake could feel people's eyes on her, burning holes right through her. She hooked some of her curls behind her ear and watched the floor, attempting to keep up with Jenna, dodging the crowds in the hall.
"Okay, here's the office. And down the hall a bit is the nurses office." Jenna said pointing toward a brownish door. Nurses office, got it. That might come in handy soon. She felt as if she would vomit. Blake hated change. "Come one, Blake." Jenna tugged Blakes backpack and pulled her into the door. Blake grimaced as the heavy door banged close, locking them in the small room with the secretary that looked as if she could shrivel to pieces at any second.
"And what can I do for you ladies?" The lady said, glaring at them over the tops of her glasses. Leaning forward and pointing her glance at my direction.
"Hi, Mrs. Karr. Um, we have a new student, Blake, and she needs her schedule. Thanks." Jenna turned and grinned at Blake. "See? Piece of cake. Oh. Cake sounds good." Blake laughed at Jenna's randomness and soon turned her attention to the room, putting Jenna's rambling into the background. And the thoughts of being in Chicago with Sam right now pleasured her. The thought of having Mr. Migie this year. Just the thought of being with her friends put her at ease.
"Mkay, here's her schedule. And here's your copy of the school rules. Have a good day and welcome to Minneapolis High." Blake nodded and held back the will to roll her eyes. How many times would she have to hear that today. She could hear Jenna giggle in the back ground and Blake ignored her as best as possible.
"Thanks, um, Mrs. Karr." Blake turned around and grabbed Jenna, pulling her out of the office. "Let's go, Jenna." Jenna continued giggling and Blake glared at her. "What's so funny? We probably looked so weird to her. Gee thanks, dork." Jenna tried to talk but if only resulted in her giggling louder.
"I dunno. I just think it's funny when people say that stuff to new kids. Like their gonna actually have a good day. Psh! Hahaha!" Blake stopped and glared at Jenna.
"Oh gee thanks...again. Nice to know I have a physcic on my hands." Jenna nonnded and giggled louder, her voice echoing through the hall ways. Blake laughed and shook her head. Turning her attiention to her vibrating cell phone. She opened it to a txt from Sam.

Good luck with the crazies ;)
Blake laughed as she watched Jenna leaning against the wall attempting to catch her breath.
Chapter 2
Blake climbed the stairs of the bus and looked around for an empty seat. Colton pushed her farther and farther onto the bus slowly. Her eye's fell of seat after seat, looking for at least one empty seat. Finally, a girl reached out and grabbed her arm, pulling her into the seat with her. Blake faked a smile and looked down at her hands. The girl pulled back her light brown hair and pulled out her headphones.
"Hiya, I'm Jenna." The girl grinned and waved slightly, making Blake laugh. "So, your the new meat--I mean new girl?" Jenna winked and chuckled at her own joke.
"Haha, yeah. I'm Blake, just moved here from Chicago." Blake grimanced as she thought of Sam at school with all of their friends. "It's, uh, nice to meet you. So what's it like here? Good? Bad? Windy?" Blake looked at Jenna with a unknowing look. As if she didn't already know. It was cold, and quiet and just not home. She shook her head to herself and watched Jenna.
"Well I love it here, but maybe that's just because I've lived here forever. And it can be windy. Haha. I love all my friends here too. There are some of the nicest people in Minneapolis. But also some of the scariest." Jenna shrugged and Blake nodded. She knew what it was like.
"Oh yeah. Chicago was pretty bad. You just gotta know who to watch out for. So what's school like. Populars? Jocks?" Blake could hear the beat pounding from Jenna's headphones, but stared at the ipod, looking for a sign of who it was.
"Eh, everyone's got their own group but everyone pretty much know's everybody else. We don't act nice and we don't act mean toward each other. I can help you around school, if you want? Show you the ropes. Then you'll have someone to sit with at lunch." Jenna smiled and nuged Blake's side
"Thanks. I would really like that." Blake looked up as the bus pulled into the school parking lot. She looked over the whole school. Smaller than her old school. She stood up and followed Jenna down the steps and over to the flag pole. Jenna yelled and attacked a girl, unaware of her presence. The girl turned around and hugged Jenna, then turned her attention back to a boy, sitting on the ledge.
"Okay, Blake, this is Tanya and Thomas. Their twins. Tanya smiled and her blond hair bounced around her, framing her face just right. Thomas looked up slightly and nodded. His black shaggy hair covering his blue eyes. Then his attention went back to his laptop. "He's a big computer nerd." Jenna whispered to Blake. Blake shook her head and giggled. "Well come on, we better get you to the office." Jenna grabbed her hand and pulled her up the stairs, waving at Tanya.
"Okay, I guess." Blake sighed and walked up the steps slowly. At least she had a new friend to help her around. It could only get better.

Chapter 1
Blake crawled out of bed as the music blasted out of the stereo, into her ears. She stumbled over to her desk and turned on her computer, and waited for it to boot up. She stared at the picture of her and her best friend Sam, back in Chicago. Blake frowned as she thought of her first day at school here. Minneapolis, Minnesota was the last place she wanted to be in this world. The thought of her first day of junior year at a new school dragged her down. She stood up and walked to down the hall to the bathroom. Blake stared at herself in the mirror. Picking up the brush, she pulled it through her long black curls and watched as the bounced back to place every time. Her light green eyes looked back at her and finally she looked away, unable to see the pain that was hidden. She dropped the brush and listened to it bang to the floor. Backing out of the bathroom, she bumped into her younger brother and crashed to the floor.
"Ow! That hurt, Blake!" Colton yelled in her ear, pushing himself off the ground and slamming the bathroom against her feet. "Stop being stupid!" She heard him yell through the door. Blake shook her head and scrambled to her feet as the shower turned on. Padding down the hall, she could hear her mother humming in her room. She could hear her father down stairs, cooking breakfast. Why was everyone so happy?! They had pulled her out of her life in Chicago, and now they didn't even care about her unhappiness. Blake closed her door and sat down and the computer again. Turning up her speakers and hitting the play button on her playlist, Blake logged onto Facebook, hoping to catch Sam on before school. Her attention turned to her online friends and her heart raced as she saw Sam's name light up.
Sam: Heyy B!
Blake: SAMPSON!!

Sam has logged off at 6:45 am
Blake sighed and logged off, slowly moving toward her closet. She opened her closet and studied it's contents. Bending down, Blaked picked up her favorite shirt, a black short sleeve shirt with stripped long sleeves under it. Kicking through the rest, she finally discovered her denimn skinny jeans. Blake slipped them on and grabbed her backpack. Dashing down the stairs, she dodged her brother on the stairs and skidded to a halt and the door, meeting her mother.
"Here you go, ham and cheese, just the way you like it. Have a good first day--COLTON, HURRY UP! Don't forget your papers--COLTON! Uhhh...I love you...Call me if you need me." Her mother leaned forward and kissed Blake's cheek. Rolling her eyes, Blake grabbed the bag and dashed out the door. The crisp morning air blew against her skin, blowing her hair back. She stepped forward and slowly walked down the sidewalk, heading for the bus stop. Toward the place that was holding her prisioner, keeping her away from her home...her friends...her whole life...
